PROJECT DETAILS:

The Chertsey project is a Grade 2 listed building steeped in local history.

Groundworks commenced in early May 2019 and will take approximately 6 weeks to complete, once this has been done the steel work will be erected and the front facade tied into the steel work before scaffolding can be dismantled.

We will then start the front facade timber frame and brickwork along with the roof and rear brickwork, the scheme will be completed by the second week in November 2019.

The Chertsey project is a good example of Chilworth’s breadth of skill and experience.

Manage and monitor the development of design with the consultant team including structural engineer; Develop and update the cost plan; Programme all of the Works; Manage the Works on site; Procure and administer the trade contracts; Manage the construction variation process for the Works; and Manage overall site Health & Safety.

NUCLEAR POWER PLANT – HINCKLEY POINT

The new jetty scheme is part of the Hinckley Nuclear Power Plant temporary works infrastructure.

ENERGY FROM WASTE, COMBINED HEAT AND POWER FACILITY – BALDOVIE, SCOTLAND

PROJECT DETAILS:

Baldovie is an 30 month 110,000 tpa Energy from Waste project

The primary purpose of the EfW CHP facility is to treat household waste collected by Dundee and Angus councils that has not been recycled, reused or composted (residual waste). The footprint of the main building will cover approx 3900m2, together with small auxiliary buildings and equipment the total is approx 4400m2. The waste will be combusted and the heat used to generate electricity to be exported to the grid.

BIOMASS CHP FACILITY – NORTHWICH, CHESHIRE

PROJECT OUTLINE:

  • Facility: Waste Treatment Facility at Northwich, Cheshire

  • End User Client: DONG Energy
  • Project Value – £50m

PROJECT DETAILS:

Construction of a waste treatment facility, which will separate recyclable materials from household waste and generate green electricity at the same time. The plant uses DONG Energy’s patented REnescience technology and will be the first full-scale bio plant in the world capable of handling household waste through enzymes, mechanical sorting and anaerobic digestion.

BIOMASS CHP FACILITY – SPEYSIDE, SCOTLAND

  • Facility: Biomass Combined Heat & Power Plant at Craigellachie, Speyside, Scotland.
  • Chilworth Client: Standardkessel GmbH
  • End User Client: Speyside Renewable Energy Partnership Ltd
  • Project Value – £74m

PROJECT DETAILS:

Construction of a fresh wood biomass Combined Heat and Power plant generating approximately 10MW of electricity and exporting a similar quantity of low pressure steam for use at a whisky distillery. The development uses about 1.5 Ha for buildings and roads and 3.5 Ha for outside wood fuel storage.

ENERGY RECOVERY FACILITY – EXETER, DEVON

  • End User Client: Viridor/Devon County Council partnership
  • Project Value – £45m

PROJECT DETAILS:

Construction of an Energy from Waste facility in Exeter. The facility can use up to 60,000 tonnes of non-recyclable household waste to produce 3.5MW of electricity, enough to supply around 5,000 homes.
