CCM’s excellent technical knowledge of civil construction and the interfaces with process equipment enables us to successfully cost, plan and manage civils construction on energy from waste plants throughout the UK. Our proven track record of safe, on time and on budget delivery of projects within the sector is second to none.

We can be the Principal Contractor and provide H&S management for the whole of the project, including the process installation.

Overview

The energy from waste sector continues to develop in the UK to deliver clean energy to the national grid, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the UK.

Individual plant waste capacity ranges from 50ktpa to 500ktpa and greater using single or multiple stream process technology solutions.

One of the main challenges to construct an energy from waste plant is the delivery and interface of the civils with the process technology.

Many civils main contractors have left the market due to the lump sum fixed price delivery model they offer failing to deliver projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The industry is now engaging in an alternative, PROJECT first model pioneered by CCM, which provides safe, no-hassle and timely delivery at minimum cost.

CCM has constructed 2 EFWs in the UK and provided bid support and advice on several others. These are challenging projects to construct but it’s a challenge we relish.
